Eugene Butch Reichler - Processing Manager
The loss of Mr. Sousa’s experience was filled
by his long time foreman Eugene "Butch" Reichler and his son Norm Jr. Butch is
Norm Sr’s prize student. A Navy veteran with electronic experience and a love of cars
Butch was a fast learner. Norm sensed from the day Butch walk in the door looking for work
that he was special. Norm taught him every aspect of heat treating. He taught him
how to harden and temper all the carbon, alloy, stainless and tool steels. He taught him
to operate and repair all types of heat treat equipment There wasn’t anything Butch
couldn’t or wouldn’t do. His positive attitude, cheerful nature and hard work
quickly made him a valuable employee and good friend as well. Butch has 26 years of
experience, most of it with Norm as his mentor. He has one trait that Norm didn’t
have and that is a memory for detail. Butch knows almost every job in the shop at any
given time and remember how jobs were done both bad and good. His memory has enabled him
to improve with experience. He has filled some very big shoes.
